MACEDON, Koinon of Macedon. Pseudo-autonomous issue. temp. Gordian III or Philip I, AD 238-249. Æ (26mm, 11.27 g, 2h). Games issue. Beroea mint. Dated year 275 of the Actian Era (AD 244). Head of Alexander the Great right, wearing crested helmet / Emperor standing left, holding scepter, standing left, extending hand to prize table surmounted by two prize crowns, each containing palm; behind, column surmounted by urn; ЄOC (date) across field. AMNG III 864; SNG Copenhagen 134; Helios 7, lot 344 (same dies). VF, green and brown patina. Very rare.
